The Boatman Removable Seat Swivel Base is the locking clip component from the Boatman Removable Seat Swivel Kit, sold separately for those who already have a compatible seat swivel and simply want to add the quick-release functionality. Permanently mounted to the boat, pedestal or floor, the base accepts any 175mm seat swivel with a standard 134mm mounting pattern — allowing the seat and swivel to be slid in and locked securely, or released with a simple push of the locking tab and lifted clear in seconds without tools or unbolting.
Moulded from a single piece of heavy duty nylon with no metal components, the base is completely corrosion-proof and won't seize or become difficult to operate over time in the saltwater marine environment — a meaningful advantage over metal alternatives that can quickly corrode and defeat the purpose of a quick-release system.
