Battery Operated CO₂ Alarm

The Firebox CO Alarm is a certified, easy-to-install carbon monoxide detector specifically designed for marine, caravan and leisure accommodation use — providing audible and visual alerts that give you and your passengers the best possible chance of responding to dangerous CO levels before they become life-threatening. Carbon monoxide is an invisible, odourless gas that can be produced by any fuel-burning appliance — gas stoves, heaters, generators, outboard motors and onboard engines included — making it a genuine and often underestimated risk on boats, caravans and motorhomes where ventilation is limited. Fitting a certified CO alarm is one of the most important safety steps any boat or caravan owner can take.

Battery operated with a low-power chip rated for up to 10 years of standby life, the alarm can be fitted and largely forgotten until it needs attention. The ultra-slim 25mm profile keeps it unobtrusive on the wall or ceiling, and the auto-adjusting green indicator light dims at night to avoid disturbing sleep. Audible alarm and visual red 'ALARM' text ensure the alert is accessible to those with hearing impairment, and a full suite of practical features including test, hush, low battery warning and end-of-life notification round out a well-considered, safety-critical product.
