High Current Circuit Breaker - 50A
Protect your onboard electrical systems from overloads or short circuits with a High Current Circuit Breaker, designed to interrupt current flow to prevent equipment damage, overheating, and fires. The device will detect fault conditions and trip within milliseconds.
Unlike fuses, the Circuit Breaker is a vital safety device that allows you to reset in the event of an overload, saving you from replacing expensive fuses. On occasion, it can be used as an isolation switch.
Ideal for boating or automotive applications, the 12V Circuit Breaker is moulded from black electrical grade bakelite - rugged, reliable, and corrosion resistant in marine conditions. Integrated protective rubber terminal caps prevents salt degrading your terminal studs.
This Circuit Breaker will automatically trip when Amperage exceeds 50A.
Features
- Fault Detection - Senses when current exceeds a safe level and automatically shuts off electricity flow.
- Corrosion Resistant - Bakelite construction and protective rubber caps extend the life of your breaker and optimises it's performance.
- Dual Purpose - Integrate into your electrical systems or can be used as an isolator switch.
- Test Button - Verify your Circuit Breaker's functionality and identify a faulty breaker before a short circuit.
- Resettable - Can be manually reset to restore power after the fault is cleared (unlike regular fuses)
- Versatile Use - Ideal for use on boats, in cars or campervans or other 12V applications.
