HC950 Lynx Horizontal Freefall Windlass

The Muir HC950 Lynx is a premium horizontal freefall windlass built for recreational vessels between 7 and 11 metres, combining serious anchoring performance with the refined finish and build quality that Muir has been known for since 1968. The fully enclosed above-deck design houses the motor and gear drive completely within a brushed 316 stainless steel housing, making it an excellent choice for vessels with limited chain locker space while still delivering excellent anchor rode fall. With a maximum load of 464kg and a workload of 154.7kg, the HR950 is more than capable of handling everyday coastal and offshore anchoring with ease. 

The HC950 is driven by a heavy-duty marine motor and superior Italian drive train, with independent gypsy and capstan operation and compatibility across multiple global chain and rope standards. The freefall function allows the anchor to be deployed rapidly and remotely from the helm, making it the preferred choice for skippers who want fast, effortless anchoring without leaving the helm station.
