The Optiparts Optimist Buoyancy Bag is an essential piece of safety equipment for any Optimist, providing the buoyancy needed to keep the boat afloat and aid recovery after a capsize.
Constructed from polyurethane coated nylon rather than the more common PVC alternatives, these bags are approximately half the weight while being significantly stronger. A meaningful upgrade for competitive and recreational sailors alike.
While the 48L capacity carries slightly more weight than other common 43L buoyancy bags, the benefit is considerably less water in the boat after a capsize - making righting and bailing faster and easier for young sailors.
