Optimist Mast Lock
The Optimist Mast Lock is a stainless steel collar designed to prevent the mast from coming out of its step when the boat capsizes - a potentially dangerous thing that can happen to a young sailor out on the water.
Fitted with a rubber insert and clamped around the mast just below the deck, it works in conjunction with a rope locking system to create a double security setup, giving parents, coaches and sailors added peace of mind during racing and training.
Class legal for Optimist competition, it's a simple, affordable safety upgrade that's well worth fitting to any Optimist.

Marine Grade - Durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel collar built to withstand the repeated stress and saltwater exposure of regular sailing use.
Rubber Insert - Internal rubber insert cushions the mast and protects the mast surface from wear and damage caused by the metal collar.
Includes Attachment Line - Supplied with a line to attach the lock to the mast step, keeping it secured to the boat and preventing it from being lost if removed.
Class Legal - Approved for use in Optimist class racing, making it a compliant safety addition for club, state and national level competition.
