Optimist Tackers Sail

The Optimist Tackers Sail is a vibrant, fun and durable training sail designed specifically for sailing schools and beginner sailors. The bold five-panel multicolour design makes it instantly recognisable on the water — great for coaches keeping an eye on a fleet of young sailors! — while the sleeve pocket luff design means the mast slides straight in with no lacing lines required, making rigging simple and straightforward for young sailors and instructors alike.

Recommended for sailors aged approximately 7 and up, it's a practical, hardwearing sail that takes the complexity out of getting kids on the water and keeps the focus firmly on learning and having fun.

Constructed from strong, high quality 3.8oz 100% Dacron sailcloth with four heavily reinforced corners and webbing loops at the tack and clew, the Tackers Sail is built to handle the rigours of school and club use. The loose foot design suits the Optimist boom without modification, and the sail comes supplied with a sailbag for convenient storage between sessions.

Designed for use with the sleeve mast set EX1052.
