Polished cast 316 stainless steel chain stopper designed to take tension of your windlass. Removable pawl flips up when not in use.

This small but crucial Anchor Chain Stop is a deck-mounted device that secures the anchor chain, taking the load off the windlass and preventing the anchor from accidentally running out, ensuring safety and stability for a vessel at anchor.
It acts as a strong mechanical brake, featuring a pivoting pawl that drops between chain links to hold it firmly in place, protecting the windlass from strain, especially in rough seas.
When anchoring, the chain stopper is disengaged (pawl flipped up) to allow the chain to run out freely. Once the chain is let out, the stopper's pawl is dropped between two chain links, locking the chain.
