PSP Self Fusing Silicone Tape White 25mm x 3m
Originally developed with the US Military, PSP Silicone Tape provides a reliable solution to leaks in water or exhaust pipes and a multitude of containing and sealing applications in an onboard emergency.
Effective in temperatures as low as -50°C and as high as +260°C, Silicone Tape also insulates to 8000V per unstretched layer. The tensile strength has been tested in excess of 700psi and will effectively seal leaks up to 85Psi (6 bar). PSP Silicone Tape is designed to work every time, in even the most demanding situations.
PSP Silicone Tape has good resistance to mild acids, fuels, oils, solvents, salt water, Ozone, UV light, and flames. This gives Silicone Tape a wide variety of applications, allowing it to be used to make emergency repairs as quickly as possible to get you home safely and avoid unnecessary damage to the vessel.
PSP Silicone Tape is very easy to apply, simply wrap onto itself with a 50% overlap, starting and finishing two or three inches either side of the leak.
It is very important to maintain a minimum of 100% stretch during the repair. There are many repair tapes on the market but this is the multi-purpose, quick fix, get out of trouble tape to reach for in an emergency…it can even be applied underwater!
